When skin tightening surgery is not an ideal option, we offer clinically proven BOTOX® cosmetic injections at Body Systems Wellness for the non-surgical treatment of moderate to severe wrinkles, fine lines, and facial rejuvenation.
WHAT IS BOTOX®?
FDA approved in 2002, BOTOX® is a therapeutic protein solution that is renowned for its natural-looking results. This unique formulation is one of the most extensively tested treatments of its kind on the aesthetic market, and it is currently one of the most popular options for non-surgical wrinkle reduction worldwide. BOTOX is FDA approved for the treatment of frown lines, forehead and crow’s feet.
HOW DOES BOTOX® WORK?
As the skin ages, two different kinds of wrinkles appear – static and dynamic. BOTOX® targets the dynamic wrinkles that develop in the forehead area as a result of repeated muscle contractions in the face over time, such as crows feet and frown lines. These visible signs of aging can cause you to look constantly tired or angry, but a treatment plan with BOTOX® can help rejuvenate your overall appearance, by being injected directly into the facial muscles, where the protein solution temporarily blocks nerve signals from causing dynamic wrinkles.

COMMON AREAS THAT CAN BE TREATED WITH BOTOX®:
These vertical lines form between the eyebrows as a result of repeated facial expressions, like frowning. BOTOX® reduces the appearance of dynamic wrinkles, like frown lines, by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles and preventing them from contracting.
Also known as surprise lines, these lines are the horizontal lines found on the forehead that form as a result of repeated facial movement like raising the eyebrows or making surprised expressions. We can soften and reduce the appearance of forehead lines by using BOTOX® to relax the targeted muscles and reduce their ability to contract.
A temporary brow lift can be performed using BOTOX® to lift eyebrows. The muscles in the outer brow that can create a hooded or tired appearance. This minimally- invasive, non-surgical treatment can lift the brows for three to six months and has little to no downtime associated with it.
Crow’s feet are the fine lines and wrinkles that form around the eyes as a result of repeated use of the facial muscles due to facial expressions like smiling. We can use BOTOX® to treat these fine lines and reduce their appearance for up to four months.
Bunny lines are small diagonal lines that form right below the bridge on either side of the nose. These lines form as a result of repeated facial movements, like wrinkling your nose when you laugh. We can reduce the appearance of bunny lines by injecting BOTOX® into the affected muscles on either side of the nose, which causes the muscles to relax and softens the appearance of bunny lines for three to four months.
Jaw / Masseter
We can reduce the appearance of a square jaw by injecting BOTOX® in jaw or masseter muscle to relax it and reduce its thickness. Reducing the size of the masseter muscle will allow us to create a more angular appearance and make the face appear less square.
Neck bands also called "platysmal bands" can start to appear with vertical lines in the upper and lower parts of the neck, pulling the lower part of the chin down, giving the impression of a “double chin” particularly when we hit our mid 40's. As the soft tissue of the neck loses volume over time these bands become thicker and stronger and more and more prominent. The platysmal bands are particularly obvious in photos or in people who are in front of the camera. Fortunately Botox for neck bands works to even out the muscles that hold the neck up.
